Description
Raceworks 145psi Motorsport Fluid Pressure Sensor. Includes connector.
Premium Compact Sensor with Stainless Steel Body. 0-5 Volt, 1/8″ NPT. Designed for fluids such as Fuel & Oil. Can also be used for Wastegate Pressure and in CO2 Systems. Includes Plug & Pins.
Raceworks recommends these sensors are not be mounted directly into the fuel rail or engine block; rather are remotely mounted and connected via a flexible hose. If required, use Pressure Sensor Extension Hose RWM-005.

What separates Syltech pressure sensors from other sensors such as Motorola or Bosch is accuracy. Motorola have an accuracy of +/-1.5%. Bosch have an accuracy of +/-2.0%. Variohm Euro quote <1.0% and Texas Instruments 0.85%. Syltech combo sensors are +/- 1.0%, and pressure only sensors are +/-0.5%. Therefore the thought process of using the smallest range sensor for the application for scaling reasons is less important, as the sensor that twice as accurate. Syltechs TMAP being 5bar is the highest pressure TMAP currently available. The one downside of high accuracy sensors is the more accurate the sensor is, the more sensitive to external factors they become. Bosch sensors for example have a diaphragm the size of half a grain of rice. This makes them rugged, with the trade off being a large range of accuracy. Syltech sensors have a stainless diaphragm the size of a 10c coin. While they are more accurate, they are more likely to interpret a harsh vibration from an engine if incorrectly mounted. Its very important to remote mount these sensors where possible. Syltech sensors are internally sealed from physical failures, and can not leak fluid out the back of the connector like some other brands. Syltech sensors are laser butt seal welded to ensure no leaks can get past the diaphragm. Common sensors use an o-ring seal that breaks down over time and causes failures to internal circuitry, or bad readings. Some sensors use o-rings which are known to swell in E85, and cause pressure reading errors of up to 10PSI when fuel gets warm. Syltech combo sensors have glass encapsulated temperature elements also meaning they are fast responding. All Raceworks products come with a 2 year warranty. Raceworks Part Number: OPS-507
