Buy Ford Falcon Engine Sensors at T.I. Performance
T.I. Performance stocks a diverse range of OEM and performance engine sensors, built for performance and reliability, such as Throttle Position Sensors (TPS), Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensors, Manifold Air Pressure (MAP) sensors, and Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensors. Data from these sensors are sent to the car’s Electronic Control Unit (ECU), allowing it to adjust the Air/Fuel Ratio (AFR) or timing for optimum engine performance.

The MAF sensor is arguably the most common sensor of the four to fail (where present), and can have a noticeable impact on the drivability of your vehicle. If you experience any or all of the following three signs, there’s a chance your MAF sensor is faulty:

– Car runs lean under load or rich at idle speed;
– Constantly runs rich or lean resulting in a drop in fuel economy;
– Rough idling when starting your car or when stopped at a traffic light.

The Oxygen Sensor (or lambda sensor), commonly also referred to as the “O2 sensor” (referencing the chemical formula of Oxygen) is another key sensor which plays an important role in your engine’s performance. Usually mounted in the exhaust manifold as a part of your cars exhaust system, the O2 sensor measures the amount of unburnt oxygen in your exhaust as it exits the engine and transmits the data to your cars Powertrain Control Module (PCM) to maintain the correct AFR for your engine.

A wideband O2 sensor is a high-performance replacement part primarily used for:

– Engine Diagnostics,
– Engine Calibration,
– Data Logging, and
– Performance Tuning.

It’s important to pair-up your wideband O2 sensor with a Wideband O2 Controller for real-time monitoring, management and tuning of the AFR, to ensure the engine is running at peak performance. A wideband controller is necessary for the proper function of a wideband O2 sensor, as it manages sensor warms up and adjusts the amount of current to the sensor control unit to maintain output voltage in-line with the AFR.
