Description
Our Stage 2 Pre-Programmed J3 Chips suit EA-AU Falcon, and allow for mild modifications to a standard tune. Applications could include:
- Air Intake mods such as this High Flow Panel Filter
- Mild camshafts (Stage 1 or Stage 2. Stage 3 cams and above require a Stage 3 J3 Chip)
- Head work
- Larger injectors
- MAF changes
- Transmission changes (shift firmness, RPM points)
- Auto to manual conversions (keeping Speed Sensitive Power Steering (SPSS) where fitted)
- Immobiliser disable for engine conversion
- LHM Disable
On supply of details of your car, we create a Custom Tune to your specifications, and load it onto a chip ready to for you to plug in within 2 business days – no long delays waiting for a tuner. Installation is simple, and takes less than 15 minutes – see Installing a J3 Chip for instructions.

In your note, please include make, model, engine and transmission type, any engine modifications, the fuel type and optionally a dyno sheet(s) showing AFR & RPM. You must provide this information, or we cannot process your order!

We strongly recommend fitting this chip with the BMC High Flow Panel Air Filter to suit EB-AU V8 and EF-AU 6 Cylinder.

I ordered a Stage 2 J3 chip for my EB II Falcon GLi from T.I. Performance, and I couldn’t be happier. My fuel economy has improved quite noticeably. In two tanks of 98 fuel, the J3 has almost paid for itself. Combined with the below modifications, more mid-range torque, a smoother idle, and more linear power delivery are just a few of the evident results.

Stoked as!! My 99 AU Futura series 1.5 (Smartshield update) had a ‘crank,no start’ issue after attempting to start with a half dead battery. After reading reviews I decided to try a stage 2 j3 chip to bypass the smartshield. After ordering the chip and a sticker,the package arrived in the deep south of New Zealand in 5 days!. Got one for my 98 xh longreach Ute. Has a 2.5” single muffler cat back and a kn filter. Bugger all mods but with the chip it’s made a hell of a difference. Shifting in the tranny is so much more responsive and the motor pulls like it’s a different engine. Ordered on Thursday arvo and was in letterbox Monday morning. I bought a stage 2 J3 for my pre-smartlock EB falcon.
I used an EL auto ECU and had the smartlock removed, the auto shifts firmed up and and overall tune. I have fitted EL thermofans and broadband intake manifold.
the car starts, runs and drives excellent.

I have used a Ti Performance J3 before in another falcon for auto to manual conversions and they work great.

Very happy with this J3 Chip.
Ordering and shipping was very quick and I received it within a few days.
Instructions were easy enough to follow, especially glad to have them as I have an AU, which required me to solder connections on the ecu.
Spent a good while cleaning out the contacts which paid off, as the car kicked over first go and has been idling perfectly ever since. I can’t believe how much smoother the car feels.
Performance and shifting is much more responsive, definitely a recommended mod for any E or A series falcon.
My car is a Series 1 AU XR6 VCT, with Di Filippo extractors and 2.5″ Redback catback exhaust.

Rob Flounders (the bloke with EF falcon race rig). Thought I would return a Thank You, and thank your company for the excellent literature available (pin outs).
After fitting chip and trying to start no go nothing not even the fuel pump. Checking a few things, going through all the engine sensors wire continuity to ecu plug all was correct, starting to wonder if T.I. Performance had removed the smart lock. Going through all power and ground connections again, found several associated with HEGOS weren’t grounded. Using your Pin Outs, looking for more info on your site, found two more wires not grounded pin 76, 77 (god knows how it ran without those).
Trying again she fired but was running like you had plug leads mixed up. Taking it for a run down the road (dirt (I live in the country farm land district)), she came on song about 3,000 rpm but still had the rough idle and at low rpm acceleration. Finally after fixing a few water leaks and concluding plugs or injector cleaner in the tank, was idling her with fans off (I never put them on ecu control – but will now), the engine suddenly changed note and started to run smooth as a bird, and revved freely with no miss, then it dawned, choke mode. Both fans going all the time she just wasn’t reaching operating temp. So there is a trick for young players, listen to the experts.
Thanks again and wow this thing is wicked, second gear down low, hit it, and it just barks up and squats side ways right out to the limiter (scary but fun).

My Stage 2 J3 Chip arrived very smartly. I have an EA falcon race car to which I have fitted an AU engine and a 5 speed gearbox, using an auto EL ecu. The chip converts it to manual, and cuts out the smartlock perfectly. Jason also made it run better on 98 fuel, has more grunt out of corners. Many Thanks, Ron

Bought the J3 from Jason about a year ago now. It has performed flawlessly. Having only mild mods the my car it most definantly has helped the car achieve more power, the tune that Jason put on it was pretty much spot on, the car has a very flat torque curve and was Dyno’d at 180 rwhp.

I’m very happy to say that my fuel consumption averages 9.9L/100km in traffic, and on the open road it will lean out to 8.6!
Torque has been dramatically increased and it makes nice smooth curves on the dyno. It makes roughly 180-190rwhp depending on the day. This is from a very conservative dyno – other guys I know making the same power on this dyno are showing 210-230rwhp on other dyno’s.
