T.I. Performance have added a comprehensive range of clock springs, also known as spiral cable, or contact reel. Located in the steering column directly behind the steering wheel, these allow the vehicles electrical system to maintain connection with the steering wheel, enabling features including driver airbag deployment, horn operation, steering wheel audio controls, cruise control buttons, and other steering wheel mounted controls. Clock springs are wear components, as the internal ribbon cable is twisted as the steering wheel turns. Replacement is required due to normal wear and tear, steering column repairs, accidents or airbag deployment, or diagnostic fault codes related to SRS or steering wheel functions.
