Ive had plenty of sucsess with early VANE & SP ecu's, eeciv & eecv ecu's. Working on maps for the current ecu now. Don't know why your having trouble with the ecu in question, pretty easy one to work with. P.S. Use your bin hex editor & explorer to find maps. http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/tweecer/files/Documentation/ http://www.rx8club.com/archive/index.php/t-81801.html Alrighty then... nothing concrete to give you guys, but some new (not been posted before) and useful reading... I seem to recall cutting the values by around 50%. Crank is only while you are cranking. Start-up takes you from post crank to the end of the corresponding values (time and temp), then it's on stabilized OL fuel table and then closed loop. I would not have applied the factor to the battery vs injector offset - reset that to stock for now (but resetting this will have some effect on the rest of your tune depending on what you actually did I was in a hurry and tried to answer quickly off the top of my head. In CalEdit 1.30B it's called base_fuel_table_cold_enrichment_decay. In 1.30A10 I think it was called Fuel_Table_Startup or something like that. If you re using Bin Editor I don't know if it is named the same as CalEdit 1.30B and I don't have BE close by at the moment so I can look it up. The values in this table are subtracted from LAMBSE values thereby richening the mixture. The problem you describe sounds like an overich condition and is a common startup when warm problem when you install injectors bigger than stock. Don't hesitate to come back here and ask for more clarification if needed. DASHPOT Asuming you have correctly set your TB airflow scalar and ISC neutral idle airflow function you should look as dashpot settings. Do you have an A9L, you don;t say? try 1st changing your DASMIN scalar to .25 (thanks to cougar5.0 for this) this will cause rpm to hang longer before dropping to your set idle speed. You can also try decreasing the values in the Dashpot decay rate function http://eecanalyzer.webhop.net/ - For EEC-V, you MUST use a 256k file. This is a full 4-banks of information, arranged as 64k blocks from banks 0,1,8,9. - If you do NOT have padding in your EEC-V file, or if it is arranged differently, this will NOT work! - This means no 112k, 128k, or 224k files. Also nothing that is like a 2-bank Bank8:Bank1 combo. - Only 256k 0189 EEC-V files should be used, such as what comes out of a BURN1/F2A/F2E combo. http://web.archive.org/web/20041111001702/http://fordfuelinjection.com/files/SCT_notes.txt http://www.moates.net/phpforum/viewtopic.php?t=642 http://www.moates.net/phpforum/viewtopic.php?t=800 http://www.datarescue.com/ http://www.moates.net/phpforum/viewforum.php?f=4 http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/diy-prom/288763-prom-tuning-guide-bookhtml CHAPTER 7 ^^^^^ http://eectuning.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7991&sid=18107b61589131729345f5bc373387d2 http://eectuning.org/forums/viewforum.php?f=2 PCMX, EEC Editor, or barney's binedit http://binedit.com/ http://tunerpro.markmansur.com/downloadBinDefs.htm http://www.pcmx.net/pcmx/ http://www.sweetscape.com/010editor/ http://www.hexworkshop.com/ SHIT http://www.softcircuits.com/cygnus/ http://www.fordmods.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=30186&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=20 http://eectuning.org/index2.php Documents http://eectuning.org/node.php?rid=17 http://www.fordmods.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=30186&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=20 4DAF - EF 4.0L Manual - Revision F - Gli, Futura. 4DAD - EF 4.0L Manual - Revision D - Gli, Futura. 4DBC - EF 4.0L Auto - Revision C - Gli, Futura, Fairmont. 4DBE - EF 4.0L Auto - Revision E - Gli, Futura, Fairmont. 4DBF - EF 4.0L Auto - Revision F - Gli, Futura, Fairmont. 4DBG - EF 4.0L Auto - Revision G - Gli, Futura, Fairmont. 4DCC - EF 4.0L Auto - Revision C - Fairmont Ghia 4DCF - EF 4.0L Auto - Revision F - Fairmont Ghia 4DCG - EF 4.0L Auto - Revision G - Fairmont Ghia 4DDE - EF 5.0L Manual - Revision E - Gli, Futura, XR8. 4DDG - EF 5.0L Manual - Revision G - Gli, Futura, XR8. 4DED - EF 5.0L Auto - Revision D - Gli, Futura, Fairmont, Fairmont Ghia, Fairlane, Fairlane Ghia. 4DEG - EF 5.0L Auto - Revision G - Gli, Futura, Fairmont, Fairmont Ghia, Fairlane, Fairlane Ghia. 4DKF - EF 5.0L Auto - Revision F - Police ex-pursuit 4TAB - EF 4.0L Manual - Revision B - XR6. 4TAC - EF 4.0L Manual - Revision C - XR6. 4TAD - EF 4.0L Manual - Revision D - XR6. 4TBD - EF 4.0L Tickford, Auto - Revision D - Ghia. 4TDB - EF 4.0L Auto - Revision B - XR6. 4TED - EF 4.0L Auto - Tickford Gas - Revision D - GLi.
